ImHim ("ImHim", "we", "us") is a social-confidence practice app that lets you rehearse conversations with AI characters and complete daily confidence missions. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app. Contact us any time at info@m2mb.co.uk.
You don't create an account to use ImHim. The vast majority of what the app knows about you — your streak, your ascension day, your scores across the five dimensions, your XP, which characters you've unlocked, and the memory of each character (how far you've gotten with her) — is stored locally on your device using standard app storage. It is not uploaded to us, and deleting the app removes it.
Some features can't work purely on-device. Here is every case where data leaves your phone:
| AI roleplay (text) | The messages you type to a character are sent to our server and to OpenAI to generate her reply. A short, non-identifying summary of the conversation may be stored on your device so she "remembers" you next time. |
| AI roleplay (voice) | During a live voice call, your microphone audio is streamed to OpenAI's Realtime API to produce a spoken response in real time. Audio is processed to generate the reply and is not stored by us. |
| Coaching & reply help | When you ask the coach for a line, or drop a screenshot to get reply suggestions, the relevant text is sent to our server and OpenAI to generate suggestions. |
| Photos / screenshots | Optional. Images you pick are read on your device by Apple/Google on-device text recognition; the app sends the extracted text (not the image) to generate suggestions where needed. |
| Analytics | Anonymous, aggregated usage events (see below). |
| Subscriptions | Handled by Apple and RevenueCat (see below). |
We instruct OpenAI through its API, under which submitted data is not used to train their models and is retained only briefly for abuse monitoring per their terms. We send only what's needed to generate a response — no name, email, or contact list.
The microphone is used only during a voice roleplay you start, to stream your speech for a real-time reply. Your photo library is used only if you choose to pick a conversation screenshot for reply suggestions — the image is read on your device and only the extracted text leaves it. We do not upload your photo library or use images for advertising.
We use Firebase Analytics (Google) to understand which features are used so we can improve the app. This is limited to anonymous event counts and an anonymous, resettable app-install identifier. We do not collect your name, email, precise location, contacts, or advertising identifiers, and we do not build advertising profiles.
ImHim Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through the App Store. Payment is handled entirely by Apple; we never see or store your card details. We use RevenueCat to tell the app whether your subscription is active, tied to an anonymous identifier — not your name.
Each processes data under its own privacy terms and only to provide these services to ImHim.
On-device data stays until you delete it. You can wipe everything ImHim has stored at any time in Settings → Delete all data, or by deleting the app. Analytics data is anonymous and retained by Google for a limited window. To request deletion of anything held on our side, see our Delete Your Data page or email info@m2mb.co.uk.
ImHim is intended for adults and is rated 17+. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age required in their country to consent to these services.
Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and the CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data and to object to certain processing. Because ImHim holds almost nothing that identifies you, the fastest way to exercise these rights is to delete your on-device data as above; for anything else, email us and we'll respond within 30 days.
Data in transit to our server and to OpenAI is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and minimise what we collect in the first place.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
